J K Thomson was founded in the 1950’s, producing top-quality fresh and smoked haddock. Our commitment to quality and service has led to sustained growth, and our enlarged, upgraded premises were opened in 2007.

With our larger factory we now have the facility to produce large volumes for fish wholesalers. Our product range has also expanded in line with our customer base, and with our new, dedicated high-care area we can produce ready-to-eat seafood such as smoked salmon and smoked mackerel to the highest food safety and quality standards.

Despite our size, we remain very much a family-run company - managed today by the two sons and the son-in-law of James Thomson - the original founder.
